Buy the book

At the official launch party on Saturday.

My friend Anita Mellot‘s new book, School is Where the Home Is: 180 Devotions for Parents has officially hit bookshelves! If you’re a Christian home schooler, be sure to check it out!

Congratulations, Anita.

In other news, I’ve got an essay I wrote a while back (when I just had two kids) up at InCulture Parent right now. Please check it out and leave a comment there if you have a chance.

This afternoon I dropped all three kids off with my mother for a few days of Grandparent Camp (woo hoo) so I can make a short solo trip into the North Georgia Mountains to research my novel. I miss my babies, but am looking forward to a few days of uber-concentration on the novel.

  1. I loved this article. I am a caucasian mom to an Ethiopian son. We struggled to find an ethnically diverse school for our son, which was not an easy task, living in Maine. We found the perfect school-one where he was actually in the majority. We didn’t mind driving him 40 minutes each way daily. We were informed in April, that the school would not be opening after summer break, and we’re back to square one. I’d love to hear what helped to get you through the years where you didn’t see a lot of brown in the school. Feel free to e-mail me at tiffanyengelhardt@yahoo.com. Thank you so much!

  2. Thank you for your comment, Tiffany. And I’m sorry to hear the school you loved for your son closed.

    Will shoot you an email.
