WHEN DO YOU WRITE?
At a set time certain days of the week? In fits and spurts? With a child on your lap? While the sun comes up? When the sun goes down? When you have a deadline, or when you don’t have a deadline? During lunch or dinner? Do write while at home or at school or at work? After a fight with your spouse or best friend? Or after you make up?
Do you write when you miss someone? Do you write while you grieve? Do you write when you’re angry? Do you write to defy someone? Do you write when you need to prove something to yourself or to someone else? Do you write when it’s been a tough day or an easy one? Do you write when you need the money or need the sanity? Do you write only when you get paid? Do you write while your kids are in school, or in front of the TV or sleeping? Do you write during sleepless nights? When you need or feel needed? Do you write when you’re happy or unhappy? Do you write when you’re tired? When you’re lonely? When you’re afraid or scared? Do you write when you need peace?
I welcome writers to answer this one question.
