I spent about sixteen hours this weekend writing a measly six pages of my WIP (work-in-progress), Finding Om. It was painful. I was up at 6 AM both Saturday and Sunday to write (even though I went to bed around midnight the nights before). Despite the early starts to the days, the words were just not flowing this weekend.
I should clarify: Sixteen hours writing over the weekend translates to roughly eight hours sitting at the laptop. I would stare at the screen, fix the kids’ grilled cheese, stare at the screen some more, thrown in a load of laundry, write a paragraph, break up a fight, write another paragraph, then make homemade playdough, write a page, then take kids to the pumpkin patch to pick out some good carving pumpkins. It’s a three day weekend off for the girls, and a working weekend for my husband. Which means it’s just me, the girls, and a semi-neglected laptop.
Hopefully things will start to flow better this week.

Every year Aunt Becky reminds me that today, October 15, is National Pregnancy, and Infant Loss Day. If you know someone who has had a miscarriage, stillbirth, or lost an infant please give them a hug or send them a message to let them know that you remember. If you’ve had your own loss, please share you story.
And know that today, I am thinking of you.
